Inclusivity and accessibility are ongoing conversations at Kate Hughes Rolf+ Yoga. All bodies are good bodies and all are welcomed here. I am a trauma-informed practitioner and understand each of us are shaped by our past and on-going lived experiences. As a practitioner I do not believe we need to “push through” or “gut out” pain as we move through the process of Structural Integration. Based on Tara Brach’s principles of RAIN (Recognize, Allow, Investigate, Nurture ), we will investigate your signature structure and respond to challenges that may arise with tenderness and care. My commitment is to meet you where you are and assist in establishing more safety, adaptability and resiliency within your body throughout this therapeutic process.
As a student of social justice, I seek to create spaces that support and honor all beings, which is an ongoing listening and learning process.
I am a Queer and Trans-aware practitioner and, work to create a safe space for all to receive this work. I also work from a place of body neutrality and know that all bodies can benefit from the work of Rolf Structural Integration.
"The answer is never the answer. What's really interesting is the mystery. If you seek the mystery instead of the answer, you'll always be seeking. I've never seen anybody really find the answer-they think they have, so they stop thinking. But the job is to seek mystery, evoke mystery, plant a garden where strange plants grow and mysteries bloom. The need for mystery is greater than the need for an answer" - Ken Kesey
