Somatic Awareness Training for Yoga Attunement (SATYA)
Developed by Tias Little of Prajna Yoga + Wellness, Somatic Awareness Training for Yoga Attunement (SATYA) is “like a combination of dance, yin yoga, Feldenkrais, and myofascial release.” SATYA is a floor-based somatic practice that supports the fascial matrix and mind-body connection through slow, gentle movement.
SATYA therapeutically benefits all systems of the body, reducing fatigue and building interoceptive awareness – an important component to the mind-body connection – through direct sensory experience with the continuum of connective tissue within the body. It deepens the awareness of the space in and around the body, as well as the movement choices available within the system. As the capacity to perceive increases, the client can evoke a more conscious movement experience. SATYA is a complimentary modality to any bodywork or movement practice.
Somatic Awareness Training for Yoga Attunement (SATYA) compliments the Rolf Structural Integration process because it supports the client’s further development of somatic intelligence. SATYA empowers the embodiment process in a safe, and supportive way, outside of the office setting.
This work is inclusive, adaptive, and it is meant for ALL bodies and abilities. If you have questions about how it may be supportive to, please reach out to Kate directly.
Kate offers group classes and private sessions to meet the needs of each individual, this includes ZOOM options. Please see my calendar through ‘Book Now’ or call to set up an appointment.
