In the early days of Rolfing, the standard “uniform” for a session was underwear. As times have changed, so has our perspective. Now, appropriate attire can include underwear (please no loose fitting boxers), a swimsuit, exercise shorts, tank top, T-shirt, or even long pants. Kate encourages clients to wear something they are comfortable being seen in, standing, sitting or walking around in. Dressing in layers or wearing loose clothes works well and makes it easy for Kate to contact the area of the body being worked on. Please be mindful to not wear too-tight athletic wear/spandex like yoga pants or sports bras with very tight bands, as it is a difficult material to work around.
